Welcome
to the Kojonup Tourist web space. The Kojonup Tourist Railway began in
1993 with several local residents realising what history and value would be
lost should the railway line completely disappear in Kojonup. Through
their hard work and perserverance and with the
assistance of the Shire of Kojonup the Kojonup Tourist Railway Inc is an active volunteer organisation that is working
towards the preservation of the 12 km of line between Kojonup and the Farrar
siding.
KTR are accredited to run our light railway vehicles (shown above)
on behalf of the Shire of Kojonup. We are also currently converting the old
Perth zoo train (see bottom right) to run on rail and this should be up and
going after the official opening on 6th October, 2012.
Please enjoy looking through our site. As soon as we
are running regularly we will post a schedule on this site.
Our next meeting will be held on:
Wednesday, 2nd May, 2012 at 6.00 pm at
the Kojonup Railway Station, Benn Parade, Kojonup - all welcome so please
come along .
Currently recruiting Volunteers for running the train -
